Heinrich is a co-founder and Executive Chairman of the Dölberg Group. He has a wide range of corporate governance experience in financial services and is involved in most levels of the management of the Dölberg Group. Heinrich has retained an involvement with advising affluent families and has been doing so for more than two decades. He is a specialist on family advisory and family strategic planning services. Heinrich practiced as an attorney in South Africa before being admitted as an Advocate of the High Court. He is the co-author of a number of books on international investments and taxation and serves on the boards of companies and charitable organisations. Heinrich is also a member of the Institute of Directors (South Africa), Fiduciary Institute of South Africa and the South African Institute of Tax Professionals.
Chief Executive Officer of Dölberg Finance Holdings

Kamil Patel, CEO of Dölberg Finance Holdings and Executive Director of Dölberg Asset Finance, Dölberg Trade finance and Dölberg Finance International joined the Dölberg group in January 2011. He holds a MBA (Cum Laude) from the University of Edinburgh. Prior to joining Dölberg, Kamil ran his own business and has been credited for changing the tourism industry in Mauritius. He continues serving his country within the tennis industry. Kamil is Mauritian, was born in Ethiopia, raised in Switzerland and the United States and has strong links with the UK. He is a member of the Institute of Directors, Chairman of the Mauritius Tennis Federation and serves on the Board of the Africa Tennis Federation.
Abdel has 15 years of experience as a director in the different fields of insurance, Information Technology, Business strategy and social media. He was awarded the Leadership Award at the Mauritius Business Excellence Award in 2010. He is a Fellow of The Mauritius Institute of Directors since 2011. He was appointed to the Motor Vehicle Insurance Arbitration Committee in 2008 and to the National Road Safety Council in 2015. He was elected a Council Member of the Insurance Institute of Mauritius in 2013. In March 2013 Abdel was nominated Honorary President of the NGO Club Sportif Zenfan Vallee Pitot. He is also the president elect (2015-2016) of The Rotary Club of Port-Louis Citadelle and was elected Vice-President of the Insurers’ Association of Mauritius in 2014.

Gerrit joined Dölberg South Africa as Chief Financial Officer in 2015, taking responsibility for financial management and reporting. He completed his articles at PwC. On completion of his articles he gained valuable experience in financial management in the services, manufacturing and non-profit sectors. Gerrit has been involved in family business as well as the ownership of a cross border manufacturing concern. Gerrit has been involved in a variety of institutions at senior management level, and served among others in Algeria and overseen a logistics group functioning in South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Botswana, Namibia and Zambia. Gerrit serves on the boards of various organisations, where his portfolio includes finances, governance, and enterprise development.

Marius graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa with the degrees BLC, LLB and LLM in Commercial Law, specialising in Trust Law. He is an admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). He started his legal career in 1992 as an Estate Planner at the Master of the High Court before joining the Life Insurance Industry during 1996 at Sanlam as a legal adviser and estate planner. He co-authored “The Butterworths Easiguide to Law and Estate Planning”, a widely respected industry publication. During 2003 he joined the 4D group and was appointed Managing Director in 2006. He is consultant to more than 40 Pension Funds and Group Risk schemes.

Cornelius Ramatlhakwane has been the CEO of BotswanaPost since October 2015. He joined the post in 2009 as former Head of Business Development, overseeing BotswanaPost’s transition from a traditionalist Postal operator to a service provider. Cornelius has over 20 years’ experience in the banking, financial and postal services sector, covering diverse areas such as Business Development, Customer Service, Credit Risk Management and Sales and Marketing. He started his career with Deloitte and Touche, followed by Cresta Hospitality Group and Standard Chartered Bank before joining BotswanaPost at Executive Management level, responsible for Commercial Strategy, Business Development, and Product Development. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Strategic Management from the University of Derby, United Kingdom, as well Executive Development Programmes from the University of Stellenbosch Business School, South Africa.
Leslie has been a practising Professional Accountant and tax consultant for more than two decades. During the last ten years he has focused extensively on trust structures and estate planning aspects. He is also involved in the training of financial advisors using these structures. He is also co-author of a book on financial planning for new business owners. Leslie is a member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants, the South African Institute of Tax Professionals as Master Tax Practitioner (MTP), the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP), 2020 Innovation Accountants Group and is a registered Tax Practitioner. He also served on various committees including SAIPA Tax Committee liaising with SARS and SAIPA Technical Committee.
Pieter, a Chartered Accountant since 1990, is the co-founder and manager of LUMENROCK Group with speciﬁc focus on expansion and growth. He is a Registered Auditor with IRBA, a full member of STEP (the UK-based Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners), a member of SAIT, a registered Key Individual with the FSB, former president of SAICA Southern Cape and a member of SAICA’s Southern Regional Council. He also serves on the boards of several community NGO’s. His expertise includes tax advisory with specialisation in domestic and oﬀshore structuring, accounting and business advisory, estate planning and general management. Not only has Pieter been a speaker at several accounting and tax conferences but he also gained international recognition after being featured in the UK publication “The world’s most inspiring accountants”.
John is a registered Labour law practitioner. He joined the LUMENROCK group in 2014. John’s expertise includes Industrial Relations and HR systems. He focuses on being a dedicated Labour law and HCM IR Strategist and Training and Development and HR Consultant, specializing in professional outsourced solutions nationally. He provides professional outsourced payroll, HR/ER and tax solutions to businesses from all sectors and also has vast practical and theoretical experience in Strategic Business Management, Diversity Management and Service Excellence. As a Legal and Compliance Specialist he is instrumental in the development of Human Rights and Industrial Relation Policies and Procedures that conforms to the constitutional principles as set out in the Constitution of South Africa. John made his ﬁrst professional appearance in the engineering environment serving as consulting Chemical engineer with Fedgas (Pty) Ltd for 4 years.
Cobus is a registered Key Individual and RE with the FSB and has been in the insurance industry for more than 20 years with several different companies. He joined the group in 2011 as co-founder of the financial advisory division and is sitting on a community NGO’s board. His expertise is mainly in the insurance and financial advisory areas, specialising in short term insurance, alternative risk transfer and related specialist niche products. He manages the financial advisory and direct marketing division and is part responsible for client liaison and client relationship management.
Chris Garland has nearly 40 years of senior management experience on the African continent. Chris has been involved in extensive projects in Africa, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. Chris sits board of several companies within the SADC region including being a non-executive director of Botswana government’s Botswana Investment Trade Centre (BITC) that oversees the IFSC. Chris completed his Honours Degree in Financial Planning and has been admitted as a member of the Financial Planning Institute (FPI) of Southern Africa as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), since 1985. He is also registered as a Trust & Estate Practitioner (TEP) & Member of the Institute of Directors Southern Africa.

Reinhard obtained his B Sc and MBA-degree through the University of Pretoria. As a financial adviser employed by a leading insurance company in South Africa he specialised in international investments and trusts. He also qualified as a financial planner from the then Institute of Life- and Pension Advisers (ILPA).
